The Ghouls & Ghosts series is one of Capcom's most hardcore - not only does it require precision reflexes to manuever the knight Arthur through stages full of dangerous terrain and infinitely respawning enemies, you need to finish the game twice in a row to get the good endings.
Super Ghouls & Ghosts, released in 1991 for the Super Nintendo, expanded on the original in many ways, including Stage 5's icy level. Werewolves that breathe icy gales of wind, giant arctic plants and more will bedevil you here, but you also get to chill out to some of the game's best music.
